End of appointment: 31.12.2016
The successful applicant will carry out research in the research group "Geometric Analysis" of Klaus Ecker within the SFB (collaborative research centre) of 647 Space - Time -Matter (which ends on 31.12.2016).
Prerequisite: Ph.D. in Mathematics
Desirable qualifications: Research knowledge as proven by results in one or more of the following areas: Theory of geometric evolution equations (Ricciflow, mean curvature flow), minimal surface theory. Of particular importance for the subproject C8 of the SFB 647 are aspects of the regularity theory for the geometric problems. Good knowledge of geometric measure theory would be valuable.
